What would I tell my Grandson about covid 19

 Grandson: Grandpa, I’m sick of going to school every single day!! I want to just learn from home because I can just relax in bed.

Grandpa aka Dereon: Haha learning from home isn't the best option. I know this because I had experienced it before!

Grandson: Why and how Grandpa?

Grandpa aka Dereon: There was a Virus which was called coronavirus! It was a really bad, contagious virus. Covid 19 was so bad that it caused lockdowns and social distancing. This virus began on the 31st of December in Wuhan, China, and that's where it all started.

Grandson: Wow!! That sounds fun!!

Grandpa aka Dereon: No it wasn’t fun. Schools were closed, stores were limited, the borders were not open and everyone was isolated. We all had to stay within our bubble

Grandson: Never mind, that must’ve been boring and unpleasant.

Grandpa aka Dereon: oh trust me, it wasn't fun! We’d rather go to school.

Grandson: Yeah never mind, I would just stay learning at school.

This is my comparsion of my prototec timed. On the 21st of june, I have scored a 70% but today, the 28th of june, I have gone down to 67%. I need to learn fraction, decimal, Sqrs, Roots and Factors. I hope I can improve next Monday.

Today in class each of us did our R.E work independently. We had to read a piece of script from the Bible and create it by illistrating a piece of gospile reading.

 Today in science Tech class, my group Thomas, Nasili and I have presented this google slides with the class. We had been working on this for about 5 or more weeks. My group won for this presentation and was reworded with 2 rist bands and one egg. The last day of science was chill.

Today the whole of TWP (Te Wairua Pakiki) Whanou has been working on the Ascension. The year 7 and 8 has different activities than year 6 and 5's. We all went into our whanou groups and worked in groups. this is what I have created with Tupua and Savior.

Vocabulary I Learn't From Tahuna Torea

At Tahuna Torea stundents from St Pius have discovered amazing parts of a tree and also plants. I have learnt about different layers of the trees like, the top layer which is called the emergent layer or the canopy layer.

I have created a piece of art that is supposed to be me. I have used colored pieces of paper and placed it on my piece of paper with water. I then left it over day to dry so that I can draw over my pencil writing with sharpie to make it stand out.

Legend of Kio Rahi

 

Before crashing to Papatūanuku,(earth) Rahi managed to safely guide Manu Tangata into a giant nest. This nest was home for a Hokioi bird (Haast Eagle), a giant eagle that was native to Aotearoa, fortunately for Rahi, the mother bird was not present, however, her chicks were, and they were very hungry. Rahi took the moa eggs from his kī and gave these to the baby Hokioi to eat. Namu, the mother bird, flew in as Rahi was feeding her babies, seeing him feed them told her that Rahi was a good guy, so she gently grabbed Rahi and flew him back to Papatūanuku. Namu then decided she would continue to fly above Rahi to keep an eye on him.

On week 3, Term 1, our Science Stem class measured the length of how far our airplanes could go. We all created an airplane and versed each other to see whose plane traveled the farthest. Unlucky for me, my plane went upto 2.8m the first round. The second round my plane sadly flew into the rubbish!! lol

• McDonalds logo - I wrote this logo because I enjoy munching the food.

• Pro Club logo - I did this brand because it's one of my favourite clothing brand to wear.

• Nike logo - I drew the Nike logo because it's one massive popular brand and its cool gear.

• NBA 2k20 - i wrote the Nba 2k20 logo because it's one of my most enjoyable games to play.

• Jordan logo - I did this logo because the actual person to do this animated dunk is the mvp Michael Jordan. He’s one of my favorite dunkers, so I put his brand there.

• Impala 1964 - I definitely put this down because it's my second dream car!!

• Tongan Coat Of Arms - I put this down because it shows that i’m full tongan.

• Seventeen - I drew this kpop group down because i’ve been listening to them when I was younger.

Topic - Admirable Person - Mother

An Admirable Person is someone who inspires individuals to do the same thing, or it could be people's idols/role models (special people that other individuals look up to).

My personal admirable person is my mother, why? Because I'm an individual who looks up to to her!!

She does multiple things to keep me and not just me, but my family contented!!

My mum is always a reliable, caring person because she takes her time taking me to

school consistently for a better future!!

She is number one in the universe to me because she gave birth to me, the most mature

boy named Dereon :).

She's my idol and role model, she inspires and impresses me as well. I want to be a responsible role model exactly like her!!!
